Circulation

The Circulation Department charges and discharges materials loaned by the Gray Library. In addition, the Circulation Department maintains the four stack floors (floors 3-6), by shelving of new materials and re-shelving of borrowed materials, minor and major shifting of stacks and special projects such as collection inventory. Many of the student workers employed by the Gray Library work for the Circulation Department, either at the Circulation desk or in the stacks.

Personnel are also responsible for collecting and reconciling money from a variety of sources: fines, vendacard sales and coin-operated machinery. The building is opened in the morning and secured at night by the Circulation Department.
