Interlibrary Loan

Only current Lamar University and Lamar Institute of Technology students, faculty, and staff may use this service. Course textbooks cannot be borrowed through interlibrary loan.

Welcome to our new web-based ILLiad interlibrary loan service!

To start using ILLiad interlibrary loan, each user must first register with the system. After the initial registration, only your Lamar ID or library barcode number, and a password you create, are needed to logon to the system.

Users can now submit interlibrary loan requests online, track the status of their requests, receive electronically delivered documents, and change their profiles from any Web browser. Please check the library catalog to see if our library owns the material before submitting a request.

Interlibrary loan orders starting Tuesday March 18: you will order and process your requests through the new Web-based interlibrary loan service.

Interlibrary loans ordered before Tuesday March 18 will still be processed as before. Books or other loaned materials are picked up at the Reserves desk on the 2nd floor of the library. Photocopies, such as articles, are available electronically through our Ariel document delivery service.

For more information about ILLiad, read the FAQ. Or contact the Interlibrary Loan office Monday-Friday from 8-5 by calling 409-880-8987 or email ill@library.lamar.edu. After hours, please call the Reference desk at 409-880-1898.
